Association Choir

The East Florida District Primitive Baptist Association Choir is a dedicated group within the East Florida District Primitive Baptist Association. This committee plays a vital role in enhancing the worship experience through music and song. The Association Choir is responsible for organizing and coordinating song services, including rehearsals, rendering songs, and special programs and events.


Health & Wellness Ministry

The Health & Wellness Ministry’s mission is to edify lives by providing resources, information, health fairs, and other programs that will heighten awareness and increase knowledge about what it takes to keep God’s temple. To empower individuals to take active roles in managing their health and modifying their behaviors to live longer.


Usher’s Congress

The ushers have a unique and vital ministry of hospitality. It is a service ministry that is strategic to the Association in assisting in ministering to the congregation. After the outside appearance of the Temple, the usher will many times by the first impression a visitor receives. They:

  • Assist in the formal welcome of guests.

  • As guests arrive, greet them with a smile and warm word of welcome.

  • Assist people with information, materials, and seating as needed.

  • Assist in gathering the offering.

  • Assist in emergency situations.

  • After the service, open doors and assist people as needed for departing.

  • When people have left, pick up any trash on church pews.


Laymen Congress

The Laymen Congress consist of deacons and non-deacons (Primitive Baptist Males). They are responsible for:

  • Assisting with devotional services

  • Assisting in receiving the offering

However, only the deacons:

  • Assist in preparing for the communion and feet washing service

  • Assist in serving the Lord’s Table

  • Participates in Ordination of Deacons Ceremony

Ministers’ Wives & Widows Council

“The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” (Genesis 2:18)

The Ministers’ Wives & Widows Auxiliary provides fellowship, education, support, and encouragement to the wives and widows of ministers. Members of the auxiliary pray together and for each other, support and encourage each other, and provide advice and counsel to each other on how to support their husbands in their ministry by following the example of Christ.


Mothers and Deaconess Council

“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.’” (Proverbs 31:28-29)

The Mothers and Deaconess are responsible for:

  • Setting up for communion.

  • Providing informational workshops to help our members spiritually and with the church ministry.

  • Sharing activities that the Mothers and Deaconess are doing at their churches.

  • Collecting funds for special efforts such as the Queen Contest and identified projects.

  • Collecting funds and products for our selected project (women in abuse shelters).


Women of the Church

“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” (Luke 1:45)

This ministry provides an opportunity for delegates to share events, exchange ideas, complement, supplement, and support the specific work of East Florida District Primitive Baptist Association Women’s Congress and the local church women’s ministries.
