LEADERSHIP

 

ELDER E.J. HAYNES - MODERATOR

Elder C.J. Haynes was born in New Smyrna Beach Florida on April 29, 1972, to James and Rhonda Haynes. He attended public school in Volusia County, matriculating through New Smyrna Beach High School, graduating in 1990. Haynes was elected into the Hall of Fall as a scholar athlete. He later attended the Citadel Military College in Charleston, SC where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and his Masters degree in Business Administration. During his college career he played football at The Citadel and became a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He would later mentor youth as an assistant football coach and he later coached softball for over 10 years. Elder CJ Haynes has been married to his wife, Lady Beatrice Haynes for 27 years and through their union have three children, Jasmine, Jaela, and James III.

Haynes currently resides in Ocala FL where his professional resume includes Credit Manager and Operations Manager, and Branch Manager at Ferguson Enterprises, Deputy Director at the Ocala Housing Authority, and the Director of Community Services for the City of Ocala.

In August of 1991, at the age of nineteen Elder Haynes accepted the call to preach the Gospel and was licensed by his pastor, Elder Adewali Adewumi and the Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church family in New Smyrna Beach, FL. He later served in ministry under Elder Lee Harris at Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. In July 2007, Haynes was called by the New Salem Primitive Baptist Church to become their pastor where he has served for 17 years.

Elder Haynes currently serves as the Moderator of the East Florida Primitive Baptist District Association. Formerly he served as the 1st Vice Moderator, 2nd Vice Moderator, the Chairman of the Executive Committee, the Chairman of the Presbytery, the Chairman of the Audit Committee, and as a member of the Save the Temple Committee of the Association. He is also the co-founder and CFO of the Brother-To-Brother, Inc with his brother, Attorney Carlus Haynes. Elder Haynes has great dedication to positively impacting his surrounding community, improving the lives of others, and preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.


ELDER JERALD BLUE, SR. - 1ST VICE MODERATOR

Elder Jerald Blue, Sr was born on January 21, 1945.  He has been married to Lady Rosemary Blue since November 11, 1977.  He is the father of four children, Yolanda Blue, LaSheena Smith Evans, Stacy Wood and Jerald Blue II. 

He attended public school at Eustis Vocational High School, graduated with the Class of 1964. He also attended Lake Sumter Jr College for Auto Engineering; General Motors Training Center in Jacksonville, Florida for Mechanical Engineer and also received a Doctorate in Theology from Temple Theological College in New York.

Elder Blue presently serves as the Pastor of two churches, St. Hawthorne Primitive Baptist Church in Blitchton, FL since 1998 and Eustis Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist in Eustis, FL since 2006. He previously served as the Pastor of Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Wabasso, Fl (1977-1982); Unity Primitive Baptist Church in Jupiter, FL (1982-1996); Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church in Ocala, FL (1996-2001). In his early years, he was member of Orthodox Zion Primitive Baptist under the leadership of the late Elder William H. Arnold, current Pastor is Elder James H. Chester.

Elder Blue currently serves as the 1st Vice Moderator of the East Florida Primitive Baptist District Association.


ELDER DRODNEY WILLIAMS - 2ND VICE MODERATOR

Elder Drodney Williams was born and reared in Brevard County, Florida.  He is married to Travia Williams and is the father of 3 children-Christopher, Delmarrious and Brayden. 

He attended school in the Brevard Public School system. He went on to complete a Bachelor's degree from the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida. Later he furthered his education and completed a Master's Degree from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.

He joined Zion Orthodox PB Church in 1999. He was later set aside as a Deacon and was ordained in October 2008. He was called into the ministry and was ordained as an Elder in October 2015. He became the Pastor of Zion Orthodox Primitive Baptist Church in February of 2018.
